Goodbye, Poppy Dog

Last night, our 14-year-old doggie, Poppy, went to sleep and never woke up. There's a very sad mood at our house today, but we'll be okay.
We'll miss you Pops.

Hello Ann...I'm really sorry to hear your doggie is gone. They are like family and it's never easy. It sounds like a better way to go when it's their time though. Remember the good times you shared with him and hopefully you will have better days ahead.

I, too, have an elderly animal (cat, 17 years old) and I am ever hopeful that when it is her time to go to kitty heaven, that she just go peacefully, in her sleep. As hard as it is to lose them, I can't think of a better way. Your Poppy is now an angel.

Hello
Have just discovered your blog via Bonjour Madame's and am so sorry to read about Poppy. I can relate to your post as our 15 year old cat died in July. So upstetting as they are part of the family. The beautiful memories always stay with you though..I have had several cats over the years and each one holds a special place in my heart, they are NEVER forgotten.
Thinking of you.
Take care

Thank you, Isabelle. So sorry about your kitty cat. Ours will be 16 next month, and we've had her since she was 8 weeks old. So I'm trying to enjoy her company while I can.
